What has changed since 1 July
From 1 July 2007 in Italy, as elsewhere in Europe, has taken the full liberalization of the energy demand, in implementation of the EU 54 (electricity) and 55 (gas) in 2003.
This is a 'revolution' in our country affects nearly 30 million households that could be aimed at sellers of electricity also different from the one they have been supplied so far, choosing the bid deemed most interesting.
Currently
could change electricity supplier who only had a VAT.
(For gas, however, all consumers can choose the vendor since January 2003, as Italy has anticipated the European liberalization deadlines.)

A this regard, the Authority has activated a few days you information on the liberalization of the electricity and gas through a hotline, 800 166 654 (Monday to Friday, from 10 to 18), and an e-mail info @ au-energia.it.
The service should help the citizen to choose between the opportunities created by liberalization.
