SWITCHING WILD: Exergy penalty to start without a contract for supplies

The Energy Authority has imposed a penalty of € 780,000 to the company Exergy for irregular conduct on the process of 'switching' [1], ie exchange provider, which has affected thousands of customers.
According to the results start nell'istruttoria even after numerous reports of consumers, Exergy, without first having entered into contracts for the supply of electricity, has improperly applied for access to the grid. This illegal conduct has obstructed and temporarily prevented the execution of contracts by sellers regularly holders of the supply, that this would damage even the customers themselves, in some cases, have been double billing.
The Authority gave notice to arrange the transfer of Exergy improperly issued invoices to customers and damage to the refund of any sums paid.
In determining the penalty was taken into account that Exergy, to remedy the consequences of the violation before initiating the procedure of the Authority, for about half of the customers involved have proposed and reached settlements with vendors hindered .
